How We Use Your Information

- Process AI-powered food recognition from photos using Vertex AI and Google Generative AI
- Sync data across devices within your household
- Process subscription payments and manage your account

- Provide customer support through Wiredash feedback system

AI and Image Processing

- Photo Analysis: Images you capture are processed using Google Vertex AI (cloud-based) or TensorFlow Lite (on-device) to identify food items
- Meal Planning: Google Generative AI (Gemini) analyzes your inventory and preferences to generate meal suggestions
- Data Retention: Photos are stored temporarily for processing and may be retained in your Firebase Storage for your personal use

Data Sharing and Third Parties

- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, and cloud messaging
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and payment processing

We do NOT:

Family Sharing

- Households can include up to 10 family members
- All family members with access to your household can view shared inventory, meal plans, and shopping lists
- You control who joins your household through invitation

- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Storage is provided through Firebase Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage
- Local caching uses Hive for offline functionality
- We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information

Fridgo is designed for household use and may be used by children under parental supervision. Parents are responsible for managing family member profiles and monitoring children's use of the app.

Push Notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send:

- Expiration reminders for food items
- Family member activity notifications
- Subscription status updates

You can disable notifications in your device settings.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable laws.
